Bunny Ballerina

These are my newest project. Inspired by a poem that I used to read Cameron at bedtime called Lizzy Longears the bunny ballerina (sorry Cam!). Made out of pink and white and lemon and white baby dk wool. They have striped legs and arms. Also they each are wearing a little pinafore dress with white cotton trim. I think they are sweet looking and I haven't shown them to my daughter for that reason. Hope you think the same.
Mouse to follow (watch this blog).

My weekend!

My weekend consisted of work and making these two little items. The little bag is claret and black striped (not good in photo) and the cherries on the front are red buttons and crochet stalks. The other is an applique brooch in black and white with a large crystal bead in the middle on a brass pin (made to order).
My family, however, had great fun at a Judo Club Dance. By the way who is that dancing with my daughter?

Mickey Marmalade

Here is my latest animal blankee. Mickey Marmalade (ode to my brother-in-law David!) is the latest in a long long line of blankees. He is made from gorgeous soft and chunky mixed ginger/brown wool. I saw this wool in a little shop in the village near to where I live and immediately it made me think of a large ginger cat. So what could I do but rush it home and transform it into the aforementioned blankee.
Hope you like it.

Hello Kitty Project

This is my latest project. My daughter Amelia is very keen on Hello Kitty. I have made this little Hello Kitty with a blue top and lilac skirt. She also has a little pink and yellow flower in her fur. I am not sure I can wait until Easter to give this to her as she will go mad when she sees it.

Punk/Goth Bat Blankee

Well Eva, Here it is the long awaited punk/goth bat blankee. Made up in emperor purple and black dk wool with handy pocket on the front for "didees". The photo doesn't show but the eyes are claret in colour and the edges of the lower wings are picot to look like real bat wings.
What more could the self respecting punk/goth baby need but it's own "scary" bat blankee. Hope all you punks like it!

Red and Black Emo Punk Cat

Monday again, can't believe the days go so quickly and it is March already. I was commissioned to make another emo/punk cat and I did this over the weekend. I love it in red and black. Hopefully the girl who receives it as a present will love it too. I am in the process of designing a bat blankee. When my son Cameron told me this was a good idea I said umm... who would want a bat for their baby? His first answer was Eva!!!!

This my daughter Amelia dressed as Portia the Pirate Princess on World Book Day for school. Thanks to Eva for the pirate jacket and to Cameron for making Squark the parrot out of an old sock and some feathers and also the hat. She's too cute!!!

Have a look at this. It's my son Cameron's animation called Egg Wrestling. What goes on inside the mind of an artistic 15 yr old. Not sure whether myself or my husband take responsibility for the eclectic music choice!!!!

Emo Cat

Monday again, I have uploaded a photo of my Emo cat the colours and stripes don't look that great in the photo but the purple is really a lovely rich emperor purple and with the black makes the perfect emo statement. I have made this cat in black and white as well which looks equally good. Maybe more pirate than emo in black though! I was really pleased to sell some of my items to a local craft shop and also have started selling on Ebay again. Keep fingers crossed for future.
